The WatchMen: Black Freighter.....YES!!!!!

The WatchMen is the greatest comic ever!!!!! Yeah Yeah Yeah.....This isn't the most controversial statement since it's the same opinion as a large portion of the comic book world but it must be said when anything WatchMen is being discussed. This DVD is based on the main side story (there are many) of the film. I'm glad the folks involved with this project are doing right by the book, which by the way, is the only film adaptation that the author, Alan Moore, has reacted positively towards (As much as I enjoyed "The League Of ExtraOrdinary Gentlemen" movie, in comparison to the books.....YIKES!!!!!). Here's the official statement on the release of the DVD.....

"They're in the book. And on this disc. From the director of Watchmen and 300 come two tales from the celebrated graphic novel that do not appear in the extraordinary Watchmen Theatrical Feature. Tales of the Black Freighter (featuring the voice of 300s Gerard Butler) brings to strikingly animated life the novels richly layered story-within-a-story, a daring pirate saga whose turbulent events may mirror those in the Watchmens world. Stars from the Watchmen movie team in the amazing live-action/CGI Under the Hood, based on Nite Owls powerful first-hand account of how the hooded adventurers came into existence. Two fan-essential stories. One place to watch the excitement. Watching the Watchmen begins here."

Now Go Read The BoOk!!!!! (AlL Praise Alan MoOre)

Way Of The PeacEful WarRior

This is a book by Dan Millman & is one of my favorites. As "The Alchemist" is a book that has affected peoples lives for the better, this one, not to sound corny, changed my life profoundly. It taught me a lesson that is verbally simple yet proved to be very difficult for me to execute due to prior learned habits. That valuable gem.....You are where? Here. When? Now. Aka, Be present because this is all that is & be aware of being ALIVE!!!!!

Oh yeah.....The movie based on this book was criminally not up to par. Yet, I'm Thankful for their efFort.

Air Jordan VIIs = Greater Than Any New Kick Out Today

The VIIs are my 2nd favorite Air Jordan, 1st being the VIs. I used to be against the idea of retros & still am to a certain extent but I can't be upset at Nike when they put out a pair of kicks that I loved so much. & yes, This big kid has been through a couple of pairs & hopefully will have the chance to get another once I possibly dog the pair I have on deck after ridiculous wears. & oh yeah, The Gray & Black, AKA Bordeaux, 7s are KING!!!!!

Shoe Boxes FulLa Beats

I'lL be giving out gems more & more in due time.

AlL City Dap Part 1.....Ket

I thoughT alot about what's something that may be causing My lack of enthusiaSm for Hip Hop thesE days. The one thing that kept on coming up for Me is that back in the early 90's the music revolVEd around actuAl things thaT we were also doing that in many ways encompasSEd our way of life. GetTin' Up, Bombin', etc...was part of the cultUre that was a regular everydaY sport.....& I misS that.
That said I wanted to pay homage to alL those that kept a smile on My face when I saw something fresh & made Me want to go back home to practiCe & then go hit the streET for a litTle leg work (even when I was 8).
