With the amount music, visualS, news & alL around informatIOn that gets transmitTed for You to take in ever minute, I've found that the idea of a 12-16 song serving is goOd but I've found that smalLer portiOns are betTEr digestEd today. Sorta like an upPer tier restauRAnT that services 7-9 small plates of difFerEnt tasty morselS in place a 2 large servings. The latTer is the everydaY & as I thought about it, the only reason I was going to presEnt an "album" (14 or so songs at once) was because it was the standArD, whicH is directly opPOsing what I belIEve to be one of an artisTS functioN.....Speak To The World With A Voice AlL Your Own. So the first instalLmeNT wilL be shortly in the Worlds Ear.....I Must BeliEve!!!!!
The songs with Kurious Jorge was just mixed & I must say, besidES being a huge enthusiaSt of Jorge due to his debut album "A ConstipaTeD Monkey" (CLASSIC!!!!! Yes, CLASSIC!!!!!) & it being kinda surreal to hear Him on a piecE of music I creatEd, I think that peoplE wilL be taken aback by just how greatly skilLed The Man is.

"This was actually a series started by Blu a couple of years back. He put out a 5 song release called the C.O.R.E and I thought the concept was brilliant. Sene followed up Blu’s release with his own Mixtape entitled “Elevator Music” under the imprint of the C.O.R.E series. As an artist I wanted to present something that I felt not only showed my strongest points as an artist, but also where I have grown and evolved style wise. Some songs, like “Can’t I” are representations of a younger more energetic me, when I really didn’t have a full grasp of my cadence and my lyricism was slightly more simplistic. Song like “These R the Days” and “One day” almost put me in a nostalgic state when I listen to them, because I wrote those songs at very intense periods of my life. Almost every song of the Tape represents a significant phase or point of growth in my life, not necessarily the content of each song, but the time period in which each song was recorded.

Tomorrow is what I want to give you, the future of hip-hop, and Yesterday is what makes me who I am today. So listen to this with an open mind. I was not going for perfection, I want heads to see where I’ve been content wise, styles I’ve experimented with, and hopefully by the time I release my LP they know and understand who I’am, and what I represent. Skam2 is a fantAstic artisT thaT I've actuAlLy beEn fortunaTe to chilL with on a couple of ocCasSiOns. One of those was back in 1997 around the time that Skam2 had just done A Tribe CalLed Quest's "Beats Rhymes & Life" album cover (which I've includeD) & L Fudge & I met up with Skam to finish up Fudge's single cover for Rawkus at a Kinkos in The VilLage. The next was probably at DJ SpinNa's house wherE I was privilegeD to a couple of great seSsion, one being the timelEsS EdDiE IlL & DL FreEStyle seSsion for their first mixtape, which I diD the beats for. Skam2 has worked with a lot of great artists such as Tribe (as I mentioNed), EmineM, IlL BilL, Jack One, D12 (R.I.P ProOf) & The list goes on. Fudge

L Fudge was responsible for getTing Me My first ever produced record. We met via a short lived for WNYU's great Hip Hop radio show hosted by Martin Moore & Meyhem with DJ Riz on the 1200s at the time. Fudge & I made some other okay jawns, I say okay because I was just learning how to make beats, but, to Fudge's merit, He was the reason why they were OKay cause Him being nice brought the poor production quality up. Am I being too hard on Myself? Maybe. I'm just glad I got better, much better & I got to translate what was going on in My head via technology (SP1200, MPC3000, S950, etc...) with greater & greater precision. Fudge back in 1996-1997 was the best (because had had such great ability to be funny while sharp) freestyle MC I'd heard in person & also had a knack with the pen & pad. I hope to one day get back up with the Homey because I really think he stilL got alot of music to offer.
So, Fudge, If You're reading this, You have the number.

I thought about this a couple of months ago while thinking about how hitch hiking back in the day really was a trek into the unknown because there were few to none highway gas stations, restaurants, hotels, etc... When Jack Kerouac took off "On The Road" he was truly going out on an adventure. I thought about who the modern day people like those later day explorers & surfers popped up. Granted I love everything surfing, so maybe I'll give it more thought.

Bill Hicks is one of those great wordsmiths that You may or may not have ever heard of either because he was too frank & honest for people's sensibilities or due to his way too short of a life. He recorded a set for the then new David Letterman Show that Dave cut, stating that it was too touchy a subject & may have been scared of taking a risk with his new position. You see, Bill Hicks died of cancer & he wasn't afraid to talk about anything in his life. The clip is of him doing the cut set at a club for his final performance. Bless You Mr. Hicks
